Role Summary
You will play a critical role in shaping the people strategy at Petlibro. Your primary initial focus will be on talent acquisition—building and scaling a high-performing team that aligns with our mission and values. You will also design and implement HR frameworks, including people & culture development, employee engagement, and foundational HR operations. This is a unique opportunity to craft and execute a strategy that supports both our immediate needs and long-term vision while contributing to the ongoing success of a market leader.
Key Responsibilities
Building People and Culture
- Collaborate with leadership to define and reinforce Petlibro’s core values and culture.
- Help the team clearly understand, believe, and follow the company’s core mission, vision, and values.
- Build a positive and vibrant workplace that fosters employee engagement, collaboration, and satisfaction.
- Design and launch programs to promote employee well-being, morale, and retention.
- Foster an inclusive workplace where diversity, equity, and belonging are at the forefront.
Recruiting and Talent Acquisition
- Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract top talent across all departments.
- Build and lead a full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Partner with leadership to identify current and future hiring needs and create role profiles aligned with company objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with candidates, universities, and industry networks to establish a strong talent pipeline.
- Implement employer branding initiatives to position Petlibro as the place people want to be at and work for
Performance Management and HR Operations
- Establish a clear and consistent performance review process across all departments, with tools to track progress and provide actionable feedback.
- Implement HR tools and systems for seamless operations, including applicant tracking and performance management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
- Establish foundational HR policies and procedures to support a scaling organization.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in HR leadership roles, with a focus on recruiting, scaling teams, and performance management in high-growth environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certifications are a plus.
- Skills:Proven track record of building recruitment strategies that attract and retain top talent.
- Expertise in creating vibrant workplace cultures and performance review processes.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in HR technology and data-driven decision-making.
- Passion for Pets: A deep appreciation for pets and the role they play in our lives is a big plus!
