Role Summary
The Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead a high-performing team of recruiters supporting hiring across a variety of skills, domains, and business functions. Reporting to the Global Head of Talent, this role is responsible for developing and implementing scalable recruiting strategies, driving operational excellence, and timely delivering against critical business hiring targets. The Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition will foster collaborative relationships across teams, set and maintain a high bar for talent, and support the mission of Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies to transform the automotive experience everywhere through innovative recruitment approaches.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of senior level technical and non-technical recruiters, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Recruitment Strategy and Execution: Implement talent acquisition strategies to attract, engage, and hire top technical and non-technical talent, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with recruiting operations, workforce planning, business leaders, and cross-functional partners to ensure seamless recruiting processes and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Data-Driven Resource Planning: Partner with the Recruiting Leadership to develop a right-sized, dynamic resource support model, ensuring the team is aligned to meet present and future hiring demands efficiently and effectively.
- Candidate Experience Excellence: Standardize recruiting processes and champion best practices to deliver a consistent and high-quality candidate experience.
- Metrics & Reporting: Provide insights through recruiting metrics, tracking team performance and progress toward hiring goals. Drive biweekly insights to each business executive supported.
- Quality of Hire: Drive a culture of continuous improvement to ensure every hire meets Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies' high technical and cultural standards.
- Community Engagement: Partner with the business to enhance the organization’s brand within tech communities and create meaningful external partnerships.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technical recruiting, including expertise in hiring software and hardware engineering talent.
- 4+ years of leadership experience within talent acquisition, managing and developing teams of full-cycle recruiters.
- Strong ability to develop and execute highly scalable, efficient, and effective recruiting strategies aligned with present and future business goals.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally across teams, including functional partners, recruiting operations, hiring managers, and business leaders.
- Expert proficiency in gathering, analyzing and leveraging recruiting data and insights to inform decisions and optimize performance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- A passion for innovation and a commitment to the mission of Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies.
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $176,200 - $239,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
