About You
As our HR Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Consultants with operational HR tasks and research. You will need to be proactive, resourceful, and focused on delivering high-quality work that adds value to our clients.
What you will bring:
- Proven experience: At least 3 years in an HR role (CIPD qualifications are welcome but not essential.)
- Critical thinking: Able to assess situations, identify potential challenges, and recommend improvements.
- Commercial awareness: Understand the importance of balancing client needs with time and resources.
- Organisational skills: You can manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and deliver results.
- Adaptability: You are comfortable with tech and open to learning new systems or processes.
- Team player: You are collaborative, responsive to feedback, and contribute to shared goals.
- Strong IT skills: confident with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and adaptable to new platforms like ChatGPT or Google Docs.
The role will include:
- Maintaining and updating employee handbooks and policies to ensure compliance with UK employment law.
- Drafting a wide range of HR documents, including contracts, offer letters, and resignation letters.
- Managing and optimising our clients’ Breathe HR system and delivering user training.
- Preparing quarterly HR reports and contributing to data-driven insights.
- Assisting with recruitment processes, from job postings to candidate sifting and interviews.
- Supporting employee relations processes, such as absence management or drafting investigation documentation.
- Conducting apprentices’ one-to-one reviews and tracking progress.
- Conducting exit interviews and presenting improvement-focused data.
- Completing ad-hoc tasks, like salary benchmarking and risk assessments.
- Participating in regular team video catch-ups and occasional in-person meetings in East or West Sussex.
Note: You don’t need to be an expert in all these areas—we’ll provide training and mentorship to help you succeed.
The Details:
- Flexible hours: choose between 30 and 37.5 hours per week, to be worked across Monday to Friday.
- Competitive salary: £25,000–£28,000 (DOE, pro-rated for part-time hours).

- In-tray exercise - to complete and return (there might also be a short sifting call with one of us - 10-15 mins)
- Shortlist for interview
- Job based interview (up to 60 mins), plus your pre-prepared presentation (you will be sent the brief in advance; you will have up to 15 mins to present, followed by Q&As) - total: up to 90 mins
