Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Head of People and Culture to join our portfolio of hotels in London. In this critical leadership role, you will spearhead the development, implementation, and management of our comprehensive people strategy. As a key figure within our organisation, you will oversee all facets of HR operations, with a primary emphasis on employee engagement and well-being. Your mission will be to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent, ensuring the consistent delivery of 5-star service to our guests and valued team members.

Design and execute a forward-thinking people strategy that aligns seamlessly with our brand pillars of Belonging, Wellbeing, Changemaking, Sensitivity and Sustainability
Inspire, mentor, and lead the HR team by setting clear objectives, fostering a strong sense of purpose, and cultivating a performance-driven culture.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and tailored development opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
Strategically manage HR resources to optimise team productivity and operational excellence.
Champion a culture of engagement, well-being, and satisfaction through innovative initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
Lead recruitment initiatives to secure top-tier talent within the luxury hospitality sector, ensuring a streamlined and impactful onboarding process.
Develop robust strategies for effective management of employee relations, ensuring alignment with organisational values and legal frameworks. Maintain meticulous records and provide regular ER trend reports to senior leadership.
Foster a culture of innovation by staying abreast of evolving HR trends and integrating best practices that enhance team performance.
Lead the HR function through organisational transformations, ensuring transparent communication and minimal operational disruption.
Serve as the principal mediator for workplace disputes, implementing proactive measures to prevent conflict and resolving issues fairly and expediently.
Ensure all HR operations adhere to employment legislation, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments.
Collaborate with the L&D Manager to design and sustain impactful training programmes that strengthen team capabilities.
Implement HR frameworks that meet industry benchmarks and uphold legal standards.
Contribute strategically to management meetings, offering valuable HR insights and recommendations.
Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organisation.
Demonstrate superior organisational and analytical abilities, ensuring efficient HR process management and compliance with deadlines.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will demonstrate that they have the following key criteria, personal competencies and skills:

Extensive experience as a Head of People and Culture or equivalent leadership role within the luxury hospitality sector.
Profound knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and industry trends.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Professional, approachable demeanour with the ability to thrive under pressure.
Strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and high operational standards.
Proven ability to contribute actively and strategically to senior management discussions and initiatives.
Experience of advising a senior management team and/or board of directors.
Strong leadership skills.
Experience of managing employees.
Good knowledge of Excel and analytical tools.
