The Challenge
The Senior People Experience Specialist will play a key role in building, developing and enhancing a seamless and engaging people experience at Slater Heelis. This is a specialist role that will be delivering across a broad portfolio of people activity, actively contributing to and delivering high-impact projects and initiatives at as we target further growth.
This role will be instrumental in supporting our leaders and teams, shaping our evolving culture, developing an environment of continuous improvement where our teams thrive and achieve lasting success and high performance.
- Ideate, co-create and execute on key work streams and projects, designing and shipping programs within the People Roadmap at Slater Heelis and across Lawfront autonomously and collaboratively.
- Using commercial + people data insights (engagement, performance etc) to identify problems before they emerge. Then, implementing people solutions and change initiatives and measuring their impact.
- Upskill leaders, using different coaching and leadership models to drive performance.
- A bias to action and desire to work using first principles: spending time to really understand pain points and applying a PX mindset to crafting solutions.
- Recognise that not all employees are the same, customising and iterating to deliver continuous improvement that strengthens our culture and employee value proposition.
- Create and manage communication plans and campaigns to enhance employee experience.
- Partner with leaders on employee relations matters, driving solutions and collaboration, keeping up to date with Employment Law (UK).
- Lead people operations whilst optimising process at all stages of the employee lifecycle within designated functional areas.
- Support the annual remuneration review process with market data benchmarks and insights.
Day to day this might look like -
You'll lead on different areas to enhance the people experience at Slater Heelis, for example -
People Tech Platforms
- Contribute to the continuous development of people technology platforms/digital people solutions.
- Collaborate with IT/Tech and other stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet business needs and enhance the employee experience.
Performance
- Drive the behavioural side of performance management and review cycles (e.g. leader education, employee training/support, advice on having great performance conversations, feedback behaviours etc.)
- Play a key role in the continuous review of the performance appraisal cycle, ensuring this is fit for purpose, transparent, and effective.
People Data
- Build KPIs /OKRs and success metrics, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Utilise and leverage data analytics insights and trends to inform data-driven decision making, that enhances the people experience.
This role is for you if:
- You have development experience, with the ability to ideate, create, design and innovate. You’ve delivered high impact employee programs/initiatives.
- You have strong technology & digital literacy – You have hands on tech experience optimising digital solution platforms and tools.
- Data is your default to present insights to make commercial decisions and plans that have impact.
- You thrive in the grey, in a scaling, high-growth environment and have strong project management and change management experience.
- You’re known for asking the tough questions and asking ‘why’. Your negotiating skills are growing.
- You’re an excellent communicator and natural influencer - you instil trust, you build relationships quickly and take a collaborate approach to strong stakeholder engagement.
- You’re agile, empathetic, humble, self-aware, organised, and problem solving comes natural to you.
- You show understanding of people experience principles such as design thinking, agile HR and human centred design.
- You have a strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
