People & Culture Manager
Salary: £35k - £45k per annum

The Role
The role of People and Culture manager is new to CYFOR, but is key role for making us ready for our next stage of growth.
The right candidate will be equally adept at building relationships within the organisation and developing the CYFOR culture, but at the same time enhancing existing HR policies and procedures. Working together proactively to create a highly collaborative and supportive environment to enable everyone in the business to thrive and be the best version of themselves. Security Clearance
Please note that this role will require NPPV3 clearance in addition to National security clearance to SC level. Applicants MUST have been continuously resident in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years. If you do not hold an active SC clearance, please familiarise yourself with the vetting process before applying.
Main Responsibilities
This varied and stand-alone role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and the C-Suite. You will:-
- Develop the company culture, including company values and behaviours. Building Trust within the organisation.
- Manage the employee relations process, ensuring compliance to legislative, HR and company standards.
- Assist managers with all aspects of recruitment.
- Work collaboratively with all teams with regard to on-boarding new team members.
- Develop and enhance staff communication.
- Maintain and update our People HR system, along with policies and procedures, suggesting changes, implementing improvements and improving automation.
- Manage and administer employee benefits.
- Coach and develop Team leaders, advising them on terms and conditions of employment and sharing best practices with them
- Monitor staff appraisals & 1-1s. Ensuring meetings are documented and goals/targets are followed up and time bound.
- Work with managers to identify skills gaps and develop required training programs.
- Manage, develop and promote the company wellbeing programme.
- Improve staff retention rates.
- Produce monthly Board Level People & Culture Stats & KPIs.
- Promote equality and diversity in the business
- Assist with some office functions, such as answering the phones and ensuring a clean desk policy.
- To always dress and act in a professional manner.
- To lead by example, demonstrating professionalism to colleagues commensurate with post.
- To comply with safe working practices.
- To participate and reasonably engage in the Annual Staff review process.
- Any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
Skills and Experience
- A highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic individual who can work with utmost tact and diplomacy.
- Minimum of three years experience in a similar role.
- Open personality with the ability to engage with all colleagues and engender trust.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Meticulous organisational skills.
- CIPD or similar Qualifications, but not a prerequisite for the role.
