The Orthopaedics team in Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a dynamic Senior Manager of Employee Engagement who will develop and implement the global internal communication strategy. This individual will lead the implementation of impactful and innovative communications which engage our employees, activate culture, provide clarity during times of change, solve challenges and drive orthopaedics business results. This is an exciting position for a creative communicator who will partner closely with business leaders and teams across the global orthopaedics organization, as well as GCA partners at the sector and Business Unite level to tell stories that will inspire our employees and activate our culture.
Key Responsibilities
Content creation and storytelling
- Bring creative and strategic solutions to a range of global communication channels to inspire, educate and strengthen the culture among the global employee base across the Orthopaedics team of J&J MedTech.
- Be an expert storyteller and content creator, and use varied communication channels to drive impact on key priority topics.
- Connect and collaborate with leaders, teams and functional partners to ensure a deep awareness and understanding of critical moments, landmarks and activations across the business.
- Create content across a range of mediums, including graphics, email, video, and podcasts.
- Lead the coordination of key leadership and employee events, both in-person and virtual.
- Amplification of product and pipeline content as part of 360-degree communications activations.
Strategy development and implementation
- Responsible for the global orthopaedics employee engagement strategy.
- Management and curation of global employee engagement channels.
- Management of proactive editorial planning for all global communications channels using Airtable, ensuring transparency to the wider comms team and business partners.
- Use trends and insights to constantly improve employee communications, proactively bringing new ideas and innovative thinking.
- Identify alternative strategies, channels and tools to accelerate impact and engagement.
- Build strong relationships with key business partners, and provide insight and advice on employee communications.
- Manage teammates, agency partners and budgets.
Activate Culture
- Partner with business leaders, communications partners and other functional leads to create an aligned culture activation program for the global orthopaedics organization.
- Mobilize support from, and activate leaders, sites and employees across the organization in service of our culture goals.
- Manage a quarterly program of culture activations, driving activations over the finish line, improving opportunities for amplification and engagement.
Operations & Process
- Craft and manage an editorial planning process to ensure the timely delivery of communications deliverables to agreed timeline.
- Own workback planning and end-to-end project management of all employee engagement activations using Airtable.
- Engage and effectively manage agency and/or contractor support to an agreed budget.
- Manage ongoing and timely analytics and reporting for employee communications and identify areas of opportunity.
- Intranet management, including user experience, content publishing and analytics.
- Own global DLs, creation and distribution of email communications via Sales Force Marketing Cloud.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in arts, business or related subject area (English, media, communication or journalism preferred)
Experience and Skills:
Required
- Proven performer with at least 8 years of experience in internal communications or broader communications functions in large-scale multi-national companies.
- Experience in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
- Experience across a range of communication functions, i.e., organizational communication (required), event planning (required), leadership communications and content development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of new media technologies with track record of use in internal communication activities.
- Experience working with and managing agencies and consultants, and managing budgets.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple workstreams.
- Comfortable with working in ambiguity, pushing through organizational barriers.
- Strong inter-person communication skills with a good understanding of internal stakeholder management.
- Proven track record of collaboration and operating in a high-performing team.
- Strong collaborator with business leaders.
Salary:
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 118000 to 203550.
Bonus
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
