Job Title: Head of People and Culture
Location: Barcelona, Spain (or relocation fully funded to Barcelona post probation period).
Salary: 100,000 - 115,000 Euros
We are working with a fast-growing software company looking for a dynamic Head of People and Culture to play a vital role in people management and organisation. Our client is a global technology innovator, they dominate their market space and are evolving with new products yearly. They are searching for talented, enthusiastic people who are eager to bring innovation and energy to a team working in a rooftop office in the heart of Barcelona.
Vision, Goals and Expectations
- You set the team’s strategy and ensure everyone is pointed in the same direction and pulling together to the shared vision and goals.
- You collaborate with teams across the organization to understand, clarify, and align their objectives with the company’s goals.
- You set appropriate expectations and standards, understanding the external and internal challenges and resources.
- You motivate and enthuse teams.
Systems, Processes and Resources
- You create processes, systems, order and stability and ensure teams and processes are coordinated and working well together.
- You identify barriers, silo working and cross-functional issues and communication barriers.
- You manage the day-to-day operations, resources and budgets of the Barcelona office.
Be the Bridge
- You are the bridge between the Executive team’s vision, goals and strategy and the wider business
People and Talent Management
- You lead the HR function for the business
- You will shape the company’s culture, talent strategy and overall employee experience.
- You will define the HR strategy to enable the companies’ goals and targets to be met.
- You enhance the onboarding, career development and benefit offerings.
Brand Ambassador
- You are a brand ambassador with external providers, suppliers, networks and candidates ensuring the company is represented well.
- You attend networking events and industry groups
- You champion what makes our client a great place to work.
Experience needed
- Experienced Lead/Senior HR professional with significant experience in all aspects of company management and operations in a small/start-up environment with a willingness to wear many hats and work across multiple functions. An ideal background would be an HR Manager/Director in a small technology company.
- Substantial hands-on experience in leadership roles in a technology company or globally diverse company.
- Detailed understanding of HR best practices, models for engagement and motivation in leading an HR team.
- Advanced language skills in English (written and verbal).
