The role is at the forefront of change and will play a critical role in leading the delivery of talent acquisition activity in support of business transformation agendas across the organisation. The role leads the regional recruiting team, partnering with leaders to source, engage, attract and hire regional talent, evolving the organization to be fit for the future.
The individual will lead a bp and 3rd party recruitment team supporting the range of bp’s businesses.
The incumbent is responsible for setting the regional TA strategy and the execution of this to meet business requirements. The role holder will be required to build strategic relationships with key Business and People & Culture (P&C) stakeholders, collaborating with them to shape bespoke recruitment strategies. The role also ensures operational excellence and integration whilst driving hiring campaigns at pace and scale.
The role sits in the talent acquisition organization and reports into the global Head of Professional Hiring.
Key deliverables will include:
- Sets strategic priorities and develops solutions to regional resourcing and hiring challenges;
- Provides strategic direction to drive the successful delivery of key people initiatives including embedding our culture frame & driving greater diversity, equity & inclusion across the organization;
- Leading and embedding change through delivery of hiring initiatives in line with local legislation, bp policy and best practice;
- Builds relationships and partners closely with other COEs and the Partnering organisation to help build & integrate solutions & execute with the business;
- Makes a significant contribution to the wider TA organization by leading cross entity projects & integrating across organisations to maximise value.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manages delivery of talent acquisition advisory support to the business, driving continuous improvement in our practices and processes.
Designs end to end recruitment strategies tailored to differing business needs in the region, ensuring that these strike the balance between quality and cost-consciousness.

Contributes to the success of wider TA organization through driving operational excellence and readiness for future; works with key stakeholders to understand the evolving portfolio needs and proposes appropriate mitigations
Ensures compliance of bp’s culture framework and TA process including hiring inclusively guidelines.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Deep operational talent acquisition expertise - both RPO and in-house models, including leading on top of the funnel activity (sourcing)
- Prior experience in designing leading edge talent strategies and / or regional recruitment strategies and executing a range of talent interventions
- Proven experience in managing large-scale or complex projects/programs, with underpinning ability to effectively prioritise conflicting demands
- Strong transformation experience including implementation of new operating models incl. transition to RPO from in-house, management of off-shored resource
- Demonstrated success in setting and delivering strategy through 3rd party relationships
- Prior experience in designing leading edge talent strategies and / or regional recruitment strategies and executing a range of talent interventions
- Proven capability and experience of working with 3rd party partners
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build capability, coach and drive high performance.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale or complex projects/programs, with underpinning ability to effectively prioritise conflicting demands
- Data-driven and able to underpin recommendations with sound logic
- Ability to strategically partner to drive impact - connecting, integrating and influencing across stakeholder groups to drive impact for the business
- Demonstrated ability to apply business acumen and clearly link value to business results
Desirable Education and Experience
- Advanced degree in Human Resources or similar
- Professional certification(s) in Human Resources
- Experience working with agile methodologies (scrum, kanban, design thinking) etc.
- Experience of working in a matrixed organisation
- Cross-geographic experience.
