The
Senior Manager, Communications will work closely with the executive leadership teams for the Air and Water Heating divisions and respective leadership team members to develop a comprehensive communications strategy that drives awareness, alignment and employee engagement.
This position serves our
Water Heating Division, and is based in
Roswell, Georgia (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic, division-wide communication strategy for primary stakeholders in the Air and Water divisions that aligns internal, external and executive messaging with the company's mission, vision, values and brand positioning
- Successfully navigate in a matrix environment and communicate effectively to varied stakeholders
- Partner with business and functional leaders to provide communication counsel and coaching to help engage employees in their strategy and priorities, as needed
- Directly support the communications needs of the executive leadership teams, including but not limited to: organization announcements, broadcast messages, town hall presentations, blogs, in-person meetings, employee and customer events, etc.
- Direct, align and manage PR agency work
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key members of media, manage media inquiries and interview requests
- Lead the communications managers and manage the team's productivity, growth and development
- Manage competitor analyst engagements, schedule and facilitate briefings, facilitate coordination of market analysis and competitive intelligence reports
- Collaborate effectively across functions and teams, developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including marketing, business leads, legal, finance, operations, human resources, etc. to ensure consistency, brand and strategic alignment
- Partner with Rheem Marketing teams to increase brand awareness and support integrated campaigns
- Develop high quality messaging to support crisis communications, mergers & acquisitions and strategic initiatives
- Serve as designated point person in all aspects of communications to ensure message clarity, accuracy and continuity
- Manage the local team's corporate social responsibility program, Heart of Comfort, by working with non-profit partners
- While this position does not require extensive graphic design skills, it does require an eye for design and the ability to develop and/or provide feedback on projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field
- 10+ years of communications experience in developing and managing communication strategies
- Visionary, creative thinker, excellent writer and communicator
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members and stakeholders, adhere to strict time frames and meet set deadlines
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Proven experience building and driving organization culture within large, complex organizations
- Experience in web content management systems
- Experience working in a matrix environment with sensitivity to cross-cultural communications issues and opportunities, including awareness of sensitivities across multiple work locations and remote population
- Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, working effectively at all levels in an organization
- Willingness to adjust to change considering new information/situation
- Previous experience with a manufacturing company or agency experience with manufacturing companies desired
