Job Description
This role is essential in developing and implementing HR and Operations strategies that support employees, foster diversity and inclusion, and leverage technology to drive optimal efficiency. The Director of Operations will primarily focus on managing all aspects of company operations, specifically ensuring the successful execution of Federal Government contracts, while also playing a critical role in client-facing interactions and employee engagement, including but not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of business operations, with a specific focus on managing Federal Government contract deliverables, ensuring compliance, and exceeding performance standards.
- Oversee the setup and management of contracts throughout their life cycle.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve "Very Good" to "Exceptional" CPARS ratings on all Federal Government contracts, while implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Federal Government procurement processes, contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedule, GWACs, IDIQs), and CPARS requirements.
- Proactively analyze contract performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions to maintain exceptional service delivery, positioning the company for successful recompete contracts.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact for contract-related matters and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Research, design, and implement new HR programs and policies while improving existing ones to enhance employee engagement, retention, and support company growth.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational systems and processes to provide clear visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives.
- Foster a culture of employee engagement, driving initiatives that support professional development, morale, and performance.

- Plan, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics to ensure efficient and timely completion of operational tasks.
- Uphold organizational policies and standards, ensuring compliance with legislative regulations.

- Deliver high-impact HR programs related to performance management, benefits, compensation, and succession planning.
- Identify operations and contract efficiencies to reduce costs and increase profits, while also identifying opportunities for innovation.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between client needs and employee performance, providing clarity on goals and expectations.
Necessary Skills For Success
- Bachelor's degree in Business or HR; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience working with Federal Government contracts, with a track record of successful contract management and high customer satisfaction.
- Deep understanding of CPARS criteria and demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies to consistently achieve outstanding ratings.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
- PMP Certification.
- Advanced knowledge of HR issues impacting operations, including compliance, employee morale, performance, and productivity.
- Proven ability to influence and drive change in both client-facing and employee engagement contexts.
- Experience in technology and high-growth entrepreneurial companies.
- Adept at identifying and proposing solutions to various business problems.
- Experience designing cost-effective, market-competitive compensation and benefits programs that drive retention.
- Skilled in building and communicating business rationale and financial impacts of people-based programs.
