Employee Experience & Events Manager to elevate the workplace experience and ensure that our employees feel engaged, connected, celebrated, and supported. This role will drive a culture of connection and belonging by executing high-impact employee events, overseeing office operations, and managing recognition programs that make Grindr an exceptional place to work.
What’s the job?
In this role, you will own company-wide events, office management for our San Francisco and Palo Alto locations, and will develop / lead the execution of our employee experience strategy in coordination with our Head of People Operations. This position balances hands-on execution with strategic oversight, ensuring that every employee touchpoint – from onboarding to anniversaries to major company events, is thoughtfully designed and flawlessly executed.
Employee Experience
- Develop and implement a company-wide Employee Experience Playbook that defines what it feels like to work at Grindr.
- Implement and manage employee recognition programs, including birthdays, work anniversaries, milestone celebrations, and special gifts.
- Guide and support office managers across multiple locations, ensuring a consistent and high-quality workplace experience.
- Oversee swag programs, ensuring selection, procurement, and distribution of different swag types in alignment with company branding and employee needs.
Company & Employee Events
- Own the planning, coordination, and execution of company-wide events, including company and team-wide retreats, offsites, and all-hands gatherings.
- Manage special occasion & local in-office events (e.g., happy hours, team-building activities, themed office events). Responsible for hosting the SF & PA in-office events.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of events, from ideation to vendor coordination, logistics, and post-event feedback.
What We'll Love About You
- 5 – 7 years of experience in employee experience, event planning, or workplace operations.
- 4 – 5 years of direct event planning experience, ideally in a corporate or tech environment.
- 1 - 2 years of people management experience.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects across events, office logistics, and recognition programs.
- A people-centric approach with a passion for building inclusive, engaging workplace cultures.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and an ability to anticipate needs before they arise.
- Strong communication and vendor management skills.

Grindr is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will also be eligible for equity, benefits, and a company bonus program.

$144,500—$169,750 USD
