An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Human Resources Manager to add value to a community-focussed organisation by driving HR practices that align with and contribute to its strategic objectives.
The organisation supports around 30,000 people across NSW.
Reporting to the Executive leadership team, this role is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting organisational growth, and empowering staff to achieve their best.
This position is ideal for an HR professional passionate about making a meaningful impact, enhancing employee development, and shaping a workplace culture that reflects the organisation's values and mission.
The organisation are currently developing their Strategic Plan for the next 5-10 years and this newly created role will be heavily involved in that program of work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Culture - Champion and promote an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Advise and support the leadership team on organisational change and the implementation of strategic plans.
People - Manage recruitment, development, and performance management processes for staff of 30.
- Design and deliver comprehensive induction programs for new staff and Executive members.
- Develop and implement strategies for succession planning, employee retention, and professional development.
- Build strong relationships with staff, ensuring tailored HR solutions that support their well-being and success.
- Oversee and advise on employee relations matters, including grievance management, leave requests, and performance improvement plans.
- Manage policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Administer workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work coordination as required.
ABOUT YOU You are a qualified HR professional with:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally within a community or not-for-profit setting.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and Australian employment law.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice values.
- The ability to build trusting relationships and provide strategic and operational HR advice.
WHAT'S ON OFFER - Superannuation : 14.5%.

- Work from home 1-2 days per week.
