Job Title: Head of People & Culture (3 days per week)
Hours: Flexible – between 9am – 5pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Hybrid: - Remote & office location in Stockport
Reports into: CEO
Responsible for: People and Culture Coordinator
Salary range: FTE £55k – 60k (commensurate with experience) pro-rated 3 days per week
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the CEO, the purpose of this role is to lead and manage strategic and day-to-day activities of the People and Culture function at Innovate Healthcare Management. The jobholder will shape and implement plans, projects and initiatives to support of the roll out of the People Plan providing coaching and support to line managers in support of best practice across the employee lifecycle to attract, engage, develop and retain talent.
Role Responsibilities:
- People strategy : Shape and execute the People strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on people, culture, and organisational effectiveness.
- Talent and retention : Develop a recruitment and retention strategy to build a sustainable talent pipeline and ensure continuity in professional expertise to meet client needs.
- Operational excellence : Optimise the performance of HR systems, including payroll, benefits, and learning management systems, ensuring efficient and effective utilisation.
- Management reporting and Data Analysis : Monthly reporting presenting HR data, strategic updates, and project insights that contribute to strategic and operational decision making.
- Culture development : Maintain and enhance the current culture by defining and embedding values and behaviours to underpin the purpose, mission, vision of the company, by specifically owning and implementing People & Culture improvement projects.
- People management : Provide leadership of the HR team and act as a role model and coach for other line managers maintaining regular team member engagement through one-to-ones and performance reviews of team members.
- Team member engagement : Provide leadership in team member engagement and wellbeing activities and initiatives.
- Compliance and Governance : Ensure HR practices meet regulatory standards, including compliance with legislation, IMS values, SEQOHS and ISO accreditations.
Key Skill Requirements:
- Excellent generalist HR experience, solid foundations with an eye for best practice across all aspects of HR management including ER, EDI, learning and development, resourcing, reward, people metrics,
- Proven ability to shape and create solutions to emerging people and culture issues and developments, ideally gained within a growing SME company.
- Proven success in a senior HR role, with experience leading on key HR projects and initiatives to drive employee engagement and talent management to support the retention of our people,
- Focused; a ‘completer-finisher’ and committed to continuous improvement,
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on, commercial approach to implementation,
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to act fairly and robustly,
- Collaborative leadership style that empowers teams and drives accountability,
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving
- Personable, approachable, and able to build trust at all levels of the organization
- Clear written and verbal communication.
