About the role
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, in this key role of a People & Culture Manager, you will be leading the P&C Operations function, ensuring effective delivery of HR compliance, HR systems, and HR administration. You will also be overseeing the business partnering function and Industrial Relations, providing strategic HR support to drive best practice, enhance workforce performance, and support organisational objectives.
Key accountabilities of the role would include:
- Leading the P&C Operations function in consultation with the Head of People & Culture, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery across the organisation.
- Partnering with business leaders and team members to provide day to day HR/IR advice and interpretation of HR policies, processes and procedures.
- Managing end-to-end employee relations/industrial relations matters, including undertaking workplace investigations, performance management, disciplinary procedures and attendance at the Fair Work Commission if required.
- Coaching and support business leaders on complex IR matters, whilst actively mitigating workplace relations exposure.
- Playing a key role in identifying, developing and implementing key People & Culture projects and initiatives relevant to the industrial relations landscape.
- Provide comprehensive support to the business in the areas of industrial relations instruments including Awards and Enterprise Agreements and coach business leaders regarding the application of same.
- Coaching and upskilling leadership to manage performance.
- Embedding values and positive behaviours across business areas.
- Participating in development and implementation of People & Culture projects and initiatives.
- Providing leadership and mentoring to the People & Culture team.
What will you bring to the role?
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related discipline
- Extensive knowledge and evidence of application of contemporary HR practices, processes and strategies.
- Knowledge of current employment legislation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as highly developed interpersonal, coaching, negotiation and consultative skills.
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
- Business partnering capability.
- Ability to interact and influence at an executive/strategic level.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
