The Human Resource Business Partner provides comprehensive HR consultation and services to assigned Clients. This position performs all aspects of HR services ensuring that all federal, state and local laws are followed and ensures the accurate execution and delivery of HR related material and advice are delivered to Clients with a commitment of excellent customer service. The Human Resource Business Partner possesses a high level of business acumen and is comfortable providing consultation to corporate executives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide HR support to Lever1 Clients in a variety of industries, states, and for companies of various sizes.
- Identify and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Prepare, conduct, and summarize re-occurring client meetings to discuss topics including but not limited to, business needs, employee relations, investigations, current employment law and legislation, corrective actions, performance improvement, pro active HR projects, injuries and worker’s compensation claims.
- Provide appropriate follow up and correspondence to both Client, their employees and internal teams.
- Assist with onsite client consultations and employee meetings as needed.
- Administer FMLA, ADA, and leaves of absence in accordance with applicable law.
- Respond to client inquiries about process and needs.
- Understand Lever1’s service model and deliver ‘white glove service’ to clients.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding for clients as needed.
- Be present at client sites “locally” to support employees during HR office hours.
- Work directly with Clients and conduct projects as needed on all HR related matters including creation and revision of company policies and procedures, handbooks, performance evaluations, compensation studies, training management, etc.
- Draft communication on updated compliance issues, proactive HR programs and HR training opportunities.
- Respond to emails timely and ensure follow up is completed as needed.
- Attend departmental meetings as needed to better understand Lever1 systems.
- Attend client meetings onsite as requested and assigned.
- Work closely with Payroll Specialists and Account Coordinators regarding client details.
- Additional HR duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field and four years of human resource experience; or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
