Job Title: Home Manager (OfSTED Registered)

Role Overview:
The Home Manager will oversee all aspects of running the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. Responsibilities include leading the staff team, developing care plans, managing budgets, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register the service with OfSTED and act as the Registered Manager.
- Lead and develop a skilled staff team, including recruitment, training, and supervision.
- Implement and monitor care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with professionals, families, and agencies to support children.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children’s emotional and physical well-being.
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in Childcare (or working towards).
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with children, with 2 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and the Children Act 1989.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Resilience, creativity, and a solution-focused approach to challenges.
Desirable Skills:
- Budget management, IT systems familiarity, and human resources knowledge.
