Are you an outstanding General ASC Teacher – Key Stage 3, with extensive experience of working with Autistic children/young people in an education setting and a passion for inclusion, enabling all children to overcome barriers to learning?
We are looking for a proactive, resourceful, and energetic General ASC KS3 (Secondary) Teacher for work across the curriculum. There will be some support from our specialist teachers in Art, Design/DT, PE, Maths and English, where relevant.
Spring – Summer 2025
You should be self-motivated with a creative approach to curriculum delivery and have the skills to continuously improve the learning experience for our pupils. You should have experience of working with young people with Autism and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key.
Over the last two years the school has been through positive changes and developments, with a new Headteacher, strengthened Senior Leadership Team, and a revised business strategy to support significant growth.

Our school
Coombe House School is an independent special school that provides education for pupils aged 5 to 19 with SEMH and ASD and associated difficulties. All pupils on roll have an EHCP and the school uses a therapeutic approach to support pupils with their individual difficulties. Everything the school does is based on the formation and maintenance of positive relationships and viewing all behaviour as communication.
As a General ASC Teacher – Key Stage 3, you will work in an immensely rewarding, although often challenging environment, contributing to supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and truly making a difference in the lives of pupils.
