Our client, a NY-based investment firm that manages a diversified portfolio, is currently seeking a CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER to support one of its portfolio companies, which is a tech company with over 1,000 employees focused on the travel space.
Candidates must have direct GLOBAL B2C TECH/E-COMMERCE HR experience as their responsibilities will include offshore hiring, executive talent acquisition, employee relations, performance reviews, onboarding/terminations, global benefits administration, training and policy development, and managing 4-5 direct reports. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with the company’s growing business objectives and they must be able to provide strategic guidance on talent management, organizational development, and workforce planning to support continued growth and scalability. They must also understand global HR policies and be able to connect with Tech and Product employees in a meaningful way. Additionally, candidates MUST have high-growth experience within the B2C TECH / E-COMMERCE SPACE.
Occasional global travel may be required and the firm is functioning on a hybrid schedule, which is 4 days on-site (preferably in Manhattan), Fridays remote, with travel to the Jericho, LI office as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- MBA, Advanced Engineering Degree preferred (not required)
- DIRECT GLOBAL TECH, B2C E-COMMERCE HR EXPERIENCE (candidates without this experience will not be considered – sorry, no exceptions)
- 15-20+ years of overall HR experience, ideally 10+ in Tech, B2C Space
- Knowledge of global benefits and international employment laws
- Expertise in global HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff including offshore employees
