The VP of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of our fun and creative company as we navigate a period of rapid growth. This position will report to the company founders as second-in-command and will be responsible for ensuring that the business runs smoothly and efficiently. This role will improve our ways of working and help us set the stage for sustainable future growth. This position will oversee HR, Customer Service, Warehouse and Business Operations, and Legal & Compliance (including copyrights), and provide oversight of finance and P&L management.

Founded in 2016 by textile designer and fashion entrepreneur Amy Voloshin and her husband, Leo Voloshin, Printfresh is a majority woman-owned business offering a collection of sleepwear and lifestyle items inspired by plants, animals, and home décor. Our whimsical and unique designs start as gouache paintings and are translated into digital illustrations, with final patterns hand screen printed or embroidered by artisan partners in India on 100% organic cotton.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out the vision of the founders, taking new ideas and turning them into realities via strong leadership and communication across the company so that all teams are aligned on company goals
- Communicate and explain new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meet with the entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale
- Plan, direct, control, implement, evaluate, monitor, and forecast budgets and cost of sales in each division to achieve financial objectives
- Oversee manufacturing, purchasing, and sales departments, ensuring each is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership
- Oversee warehouse operations, including managing relationships with 3PL partners, ensuring efficient and accurate fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics. Travel to 3PL as needed.
- Provide leadership for customer service to maintain high standards, resolve escalated issues, and ensure a seamless experience for all customers
- Direct and oversee HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, policy development, and compliance
- Implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations
- Oversee legal and compliance matters, including copyrights, trademarks, and contractual obligations, ensuring the business adheres to all regulatory requirements and protects its intellectual property
- Negotiate, draft, and oversee the implementation of contracts in collaboration with legal counsel, ensuring contracts are structured to benefit the company
- Lead talent acquisition and identify hiring needs, including identifying job requirements, writing job descriptions, and overseeing recruitment efforts
- Ensure the team is celebrated and connected to the company in a meaningful way while promoting company culture and vision
- Be responsible for successful contract negotiation and implementation
- Provide leadership for the ongoing growth of the wholesale business
- Form new and nurture existing corporate alliances, brand partnerships, and investments
- Oversee financial planning and analysis, ensuring budgets align with company goals and providing strategic recommendations based on financial performance
- Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and the community
- Function as the Integrator in the methodology of EOS
- Work with the CEO to acquire funding when needed

Qualifications:
- A degree in business or business administration is preferred, but not required
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in a similar role, with at least 15 years of relevant work experience
- Experience overseeing warehouse operations, customer service, and HR functions, and legal/compliance matters is essential.
- Must have a passion for sustainable manufacturing and inclusive fashion
Physical Requirements:
- Long periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Be able to work mostly in the office, Monday-Friday, with some flexibility for working from home 1-2 days a week
