Part-Time HR Generalist | Western Sydney

We are seeking an HR professional who enjoys delivering a broad generalist remit while contributing to strategic goals.
This permanent, on-site role offers a unique blend of hands-on operational tasks, project scope, and strategic input, working directly with the CEO and partnering with executive leaders across key business units within an engineering organisation with a global footprint based out of Sydney Olympic Park,
Working three days a week, you’ll take ownership of a broad range of HR functions, from day-to-day operations to delivering impactful projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding to attract and retain top talent.
- Providing expert advice on employee relations, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Leading performance management initiatives to support team and business success.
- Driving HR projects that align with business priorities and enhance workforce capabilities.
- Coordinating learning and development programs to upskill and engage employees.
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and maintaining accurate HR records.
- Reporting to the CEO and working closely with executives to align HR strategies with business goals.
You. the ideal candidate
You’re a personable and approachable HR professional who builds strong relationships at all levels, particularly with technical and engineering teams.
You bring:
- Proven HR experience in Generalist or similar roles, ideally in aerospace, defence, or engineering.
- A hands-on, business-oriented mindset, balancing operational execution with strategic insights.
- Exceptional communication skills – clear, concise, and influential.
- A data-driven, evidence-based approach, paired with practical and pragmatic solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practices, exposure to or knowledge of US employment legislation advantageous
