Summary:
The Events Coordinator, Talen & Engagement will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events and activities that enhance learning, foster team engagement, and promote professional growth. This role will require excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to creating high-quality experiences for our employees.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Coordination:
- Plan, organize, and execute training events, workshops, and seminars.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue booking, scheduling, and materials preparation.
- Arrange for necessary equipment, materials, and technology to support training sessions.
- Research, review and propose event program details and locations based on approved budget.
- Communication & Liaison:
- Act as the main point of contact for trainers, speakers, and vendors.
- Communicate event details to participants and ensure all parties are well-informed..
- Gather feedback post-event and relay it to the Talent Management team to support continuous improvement.
- Budgeting & Resource Management:
- Track and manage event budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Source cost-effective vendors and manage contracts with suppliers and service providers.
- Has authority to execute on event plan that is within the parameters of the budget. .
- Participant Support & Engagement :
- Provide support to attendees before and during events, addressing any questions or concerns..
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages active participation
- Develop engagement materials (e.g., agendas, handouts, feedback forms) and coordinate follow-up actions.
- Event Evaluation & Improvement:
- Collect feedback from attendees to assess event effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Analyze event outcomes and compile reports for the Talent Management team.
- Be present at offsite employee engagement meetings & events, before, during and after to ensure all aspects of the meeting or event are carried out successfully.
- Must be within commutable distance to a Freedom Mortgage call center location and must be willing to work in the office regularly to meet business dictate needs.
- Must be available to attend off-site events during non-traditional working hours as needed.
- Some overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with event management software, Microsoft Office, and virtual event platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules or last-minute adjustments.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in event planning, coordination, or a similar role (experience with training events preferred).
