Your Job Opportunity:

The Manager of People Operations and Talent Management will lead and manage the full spectrum of HR functions, ensuring alignment with EVPassport’ strategic business goals.

This role combines traditional HR management responsibilities with a focus on people operations to enhance employee experience, drive talent acquisition and development, and promote organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Additionally this role will work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic HR initiatives.

Location: Santa Monica (Onsite)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and inspire the HR and recruitment team to achieve top performance.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the HR function.

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

Design and implement innovative strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
Partner with hiring managers to ensure we hire the right people to drive business success.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

Manage and improve new hire onboarding
Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with our values.
Act as a trusted advisor for managers and employees, addressing concerns with fairness and consistency.
Develop initiatives to boost employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.

Performance Management:

Manage the performance review process, including goal-setting and feedback delivery.
Provide coaching and tools to managers for effective performance management and career development.

Learning and Development:

Identify training needs and create programs to support employee growth.
Coordinate engaging workshops and development opportunities to upskill our workforce.
Continuously evaluate and improve training programs.

Compensation and Benefits:

Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness.
Lead regular reviews of salary structures and incentive programs.
Provide guidance on salary negotiations and promotions.

HR Policies and Compliance:

Develop and enforce HR policies that are compliant with legal requirements and reflect industry best practices.
Ensure adherence to labor laws and conduct regular compliance audits.
Ensure multi-state and international compliance for our geographically diverse workforce.

HR Systems and Analytics:

Manage HR systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Leverage HR metrics to drive data-informed decisions and enhance processes.
Present actionable insights to senior leadership.

HR Business Partnering:

Collaborate with leaders to align HR initiatives with strategic objectives.
Provide guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and change management.
Serve as a trusted advisor on all HR-related matters.

Special Projects:

Lead and contribute to various strategic initiatives and projects as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in HR Management or people operations roles
Proven experience in leading HR teams, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Google Suite
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus
Start-up experience strongly preferred—we value team members who can navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
