We are looking for an Innovation Manager who is naturally connecting people and product, and devoted to innovation.

Your role as Innovation Manager

Last Mile Solutions has a very passionate and ambitious team. Because we are occupied with innovations on a daily basis we all have the drive to further develop ourselves and our services.

Together with the Innovation Team, existing of 2 engineers currently, reporting into the Strategy Director, you will drive innovation for Last Mile Solutions.

Your Main Responsibilities

Your primarily responsibilities are rapid testing of new propositions for (in)validation, developing POC’s and aligning the innovation team with the other departments and company objectives. Meanwhile you create the necessary conditions without delineating too much.

In this role you combine product positioning internally and externally with thinking strategically about our growth ambitions. You evangelize innovations within and outside of the organization and bring people along in innovation and change.

What will you do?

Identifying innovation opportunities: you will keep an eye on market trends, competitors and technological developments and identify opportunities for innovation within the organization.
You think in terms of opportunities and are able to take them further to the next phase in a structured and disciplined way.
Initiating, managing and supervising innovation processes, all in relation and alignment with other core processes of the company.
Quickly develop ideas into a first POC for (in)validation.
Ensure POC’s that are successfully validates are landing on the product roadmap and product development team to ensure they become part of our core propositions.
You are the linchpin in creating and fostering a culture of experimentation, learning and collaboration within the organization.
Actively contributing to the strategy and strength of the innovation team.

You recognize yourself in

For a Good Match, We Are Looking For An Analytical, Enterprising, Convincing Personality Who Comes Up With Creative And Innovative Ideas And Knows How To Take Them Further. We Would Like To See The Following In Your Profile

Completed education in the direction of innovation, growth hacking, industrial design, technical or business direction
at least 5 years of relevant work experience in an international and innovative environment in a similar role
entrepreneurial/ growth hacking mindset
strong communication skills and proven competency in connecting people
excellent collaboration, team orientation and stakeholder management. Execution power, you really know how to take innovations further and accelerate them through a culture of learning and experimentation
knowledge and experience with innovation and lean methodologies
domain experience in e-Mobility, Energy or Payments is considered a plus
excellent command of the English language, command of the Dutch language is a plus
you are available full-time and willing to travel to our office in Rotterdam at least 3 days a week
