About The Role

As a result of our incredible success and growth, we are looking for a Design Manager to join us. This role will be working closely with the Brand Design Team and will be responsible for assisting in delivering the visual direction and execution of the Student Beans, YMS and the Pion brands across all touchpoints (Digital, print, events and animation).

Responsibilities include:

Managing a team of 3 designers, ensuring they are being supported, trained, mentored and having regular check-ins for personal development.
Managing design projects themselves and training/assisting their team to manage theirs
Overseeing design processes alongside the Studio and Project Manager
Quality Control - Ensuring all their work and the work of their team is error free before it reaches the Creative & Brand Lead/Stakeholders
Seeking opportunities to align creative work with the businesses goals
Design challenges and opportunities to stretch their team as well as the entire department
Assisting the Studio and Project Manager to organise one day a month in the office

This role will be required to come into our London or Manchester office once a month.

Quality control process experience
An incredible eye for detail (Design and copy)
Campaign and marketing experience
Experience conceptualising and designing events
Manager experience
Used tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Slack or Teams, Google sheets, docs and slides
Exceptional organisational skills
Solutions-oriented and proactive mindset
Are a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to multitask and prioritise
Experience in working in a fast-paced, reactive environment
Are self-motivated, a problem-solver and creative-thinker
