In our pursuit of excellence within our Marketing team here at Carnival UK, we're seeking a social media expert to lead the growth and expansion of P&O Cruises channels. Leading content planning for our biggest initiatives, the Social Media Content Manager will drive a step change in engagement with loyal guests and drive significant brand awareness and consideration from new audiences.

With significant experience in developing social-first content, the individual will have expertise in UGC, driving engagement with partnerships and activating influencer content within brand channels. Additionally, the individual will have a keen interest in social media, with a solid understanding of trends and experience translating these into impactful, brand appropriate assets.

Role Overview

The Sales, Marketing and Brand team is key to helping P&O Cruises achieve its ambition to become Britain's #1 holiday choice. Seeking an experienced Social Media Content Manager, this is a key role for injecting creativity and innovation into our content, to deliver against key performance metrics. Possessing solid knowledge of the industry, the ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience working in social media within large companies or agencies, managing complex projects at pace.

Key accountabilities include:

To lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of organic social plans with key agencies, ensuring plans are creatively challenging and impactful
Owning the strategic direction, planning and execution of regular shoots with the social media agency
Leading content planning for large scale initiatives across organic and paid social, including partnerships with the BAFTA TV Awards and Pride of Britain
Developing test and learn plans and preparing industry and competitor reports
Managing the launch of P&O Cruises TikTok channel

Position Requirements

Our ideal candidates are those who possess not only the technical skills required for social media management, but also a keen eye for detail. Your background in social media content creation will be the foundation of your role within our team.

Significant experience in growing social channels, including TikTok
Activating partnerships in social media
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospitality or Travel industry experience
