Panasonic Information Systems Company Asia Pacific (PISCAP) is an IT solutions partner which provides IT Professional Services to 63 Panasonic Group companies in APAC Region, comprising of 7 Main Business Lines. It is responsible for IT Leadership, Portfolio Management, Solutions Delivery and IT Operations with its Centre of Excellence in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in aligning our human resources initiatives with business objectives of the IT business unit. The HRBP will act as a consultant to management on HR-related issues, providing strategic and operational support in talent acquisition, talent management, and HR operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills who can build effective relationships with employees at all levels.
Role & Responsibilities
Strategic HR:
- Provide HR guidance and support to business/stakeholders on matters concerning employees, organisational operations and talent management.
- Execute and oversee HR projects, systems, and processes to match business requirements and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labour policies, employment laws, and legislations.
Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline through networking, referrals, and other sourcing techniques.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Talent Management:
- Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Identify and develop key talent and succession plans in collaboration with management.
- Design and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management and employee development.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Work with business unit to implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, such as recognition programs and feedback mechanisms.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee turnover and recommend retention strategies.
Data Analytics and Strategic Reporting:
- Utilise advanced data analytics techniques to gather and dissect data pertaining to HR metrics to facilitate informed decision-making processes.
- Generate comprehensive reports tailored for presentation to senior stakeholders and management.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure compliance with relevant labour laws, regulations, and organisational policies in all HR and talent management activities.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in HR, talent management, and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in HR, including 4 years in a business partner role with demonstrated emphasis on utilising data analytics to support decision-making.
- At least 3 years' experience working in IT industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions, covering compensation & benefits, employee relations and engagement, performance management, talent management, internship, and scholarship management.
- Understanding of relevant labour policies, employment laws, and legislation.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite applications, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and HR/TM systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities.
- Strong proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Capacity to think innovatively and outside conventional boundaries.
- Proven track record of effective independent and collaborative work with diverse stakeholders.
