Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive HR Generalist with a strong foundation in human resources functions. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department, assisting in employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and other HR-related activities. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hands-on HR experience and a four-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating offers.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring smooth and effective integration into the organization.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries, ensuring a positive work environment.
- Assist in resolving workplace issues, conflicts, or grievances, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Performance Management:
- Support the performance review process, including coordinating evaluations and tracking employee progress.
- Assist in identifying training and development needs and work with management to implement solutions.
- Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Experience working with worker’s compensation claims, disability, paid family leave, and FMLA.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
- Perform credentialing tasks.
- Track employee required trainings.
- Assist with managing the Employee Handbook.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Assist with benefit planning, open enrollment, and assist employees with benefits inquiries.
- Manage employee timecards and process bi-weekly payroll.
- Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Assist in the development of retention strategies, identifying opportunities to improve employee satisfaction.
- HR Reporting & Analytics:
- Compile HR-related data and prepare reports for leadership on topics such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee engagement.

Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in the areas listed above.
- Experience with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS (Human Resource Information System) software. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.

- Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
