Job Summary
The Director, Talent Management is a key leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing talent management strategies to support the organization's growth and performance objectives. This position will focus on driving the success of onboarding processes, employee development programs, and mentoring initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning and engagement. The role will collaborate closely with senior leadership, HR teams, and department heads to ensure the attraction, development, and retention of top talent.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding
- Design and implement a comprehensive onboarding program that ensures a smooth transition for new hires, fostering engagement and alignment with the company’s values, culture, and goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality onboarding experiences for employees at all levels.
- Monitor and assess the onboarding process for effectiveness and continuous improvement, ensuring timely integration and engagement of new hires.
Employee Development Programs
- Develop and oversee robust employee development programs, including leadership training, skill-building workshops, and career development initiatives.
- Identify key competencies and design learning paths that align with both organizational goals and individual career aspirations.
- Work with department heads to implement targeted development plans, ensuring employees have access to resources that drive their growth.
- Assess training needs and work with external vendors and internal subject matter experts to deliver high-impact learning solutions.
Mentoring & Coaching
- Lead the development and implementation of mentoring programs, pairing employees with experienced leaders for career guidance and professional growth.
- Oversee coaching initiatives to develop emerging leaders and high-potential employees, supporting them through tailored development plans.
- Track and evaluate the impact of mentoring relationships on employee engagement, retention, and performance.
- Engage with sales team, both in-field and at RSC meetings, to mentor Regional Sales Directors and high-potential Business Development Managers
Talent Management Strategy
- Partner with the VP, HR to develop and execute talent strategies that align with the organization’s long-term goals.
- Drive succession planning efforts by identifying and developing key talent pipelines within the organization.
- Monitor talent metrics such as retention, engagement, and performance, and use data to refine programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement, including recognition programs, feedback mechanisms, and professional development opportunities.
- Create comprehensive sales and staff management training content for RSC customers by shadowing select practices to identify best practices to develop relevant training modules for our educational portal
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or HR, with a focus on employee development, onboarding, and mentoring.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering impactful onboarding and development programs.
- Strong knowledge of talent development strategies, succession planning, and leadership development frameworks.
- Experience in managing mentoring programs and other initiatives focused on employee growth and engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
