We are looking for a Sr. Director People & Culture. This role will lead our People & Culture team and contribute to the strategic direction, growth, and culture-building for the agency. Currently this role has two direct reports. A key focus will be outlining and executing a vision that elevates our values: Partner Generously, Make it Better, and Own Your Future.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for bringing people along and leading others to do the same.
Strategic Vision
- Build a strategic roadmap that will fuel our growth and optimize the talents of our people.
- Provide thought leadership and partnership to create scalable approaches to enable employee development and career growth.
- Build robust succession plans that will inspire our talent and fuel our growth.
- Create and execute methodologies to equip managers to grow their people leadership effectiveness.
Agency Leadership
- Serve as a member of our Executive Leadership Team.
- Lead us in connecting agency needs and people solutions.
Culture
- Lead employee engagement strategy, process, measurements, and action plans.
- Champion our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
- Design plans that will yield an increase in belonging, trust, and performance.
People Priorities
- Innovate and execute creative approaches to P&C functions including compensation strategy and performance management.
- Consult on learning and development strategy.
- Equip leaders and managers to be able to support, guide and develop teams.
Operations
- Oversee the Sr. P&C Manager to implement processes including compliance, technology, and metrics.
- Oversee the Sr. Talent Acquisition & DEI Manager to identify and solve hiring needs through talent acquisition and recruitment.
Requirements
- 6-10 years plus of experience in human resources, at least 3 years leading human resources team.
- 3-5 years of people management of more than 2 people at once.
- Leadership experience to drive internal teams forward and build trust.
- Demonstrated success employing creative solutions.
- Evidence of executing on a people-first mindset.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and driving them towards success.
- Experience driving diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and metrics. Including partnering with employee resource groups.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and stakeholder management skills.
- Habit of continuous learning.
- Agency experience is helpful, but not required.
