About the role
This is a 24-month fixed term contract
As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our SYD's future by building our capability, leadership, and culture. Your focus on delivering high-quality recruitment advice and end-to-end recruitment services will drive our business forward while providing an exceptional candidate experience. You'll develop strong working relationships with hiring leaders within your client portfolio, offering strategic recruitment support and insights that exceed business expectations.
Your role will also involve contributing to talent attraction and management initiatives, refining processes, systems, and policies to elevate our recruitment standards. Additionally, you’ll foster connections across the Australian talent market, ensuring SYD achieves its people strategy and nurtures an inclusive, welcoming environment for all.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
- Drive end-to-end recruitment activities, including internal mobility, external search, talent pooling, interviews, assessments, and reference checks, while delivering a streamlined candidate experience.
- Partner with hiring managers and business unit leaders, providing strategic talent acquisition advice and designing recruitment solutions aligned with business needs.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with third-party suppliers, ensuring effective budget management and maximizing the value of preferred recruitment partnerships.
- Promote SYD’s talent brand to attract top talent, building a robust network of candidates.
- Meet agreed service level targets for talent acquisition and maintain up-to-date recruitment and social media platforms.
- Provide timely insights on open roles, market trends, and strategic solutions, supporting hiring decisions with data-driven guidance.
- Collaborate on recruitment policies, processes, and systems improvement in line with SYD’s Belonging & Inclusion Plan.
About you
To succeed in this role, you bring a solution-focused, consultative approach, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead through ownership of team objectives. You’re dedicated to delivering a seamless experience for both stakeholders and candidates, continuously enhancing SYD’s talent brand and recruitment efficiency.
With 4+ years in a recruitment agency, an internal Talent Acquisition role ideally within organisations of 500-1000 employees or 2+ years on both sides. You have a strong background supporting leadership teams and handling both high-volume recruitment and executive search assignments. Known for your customer service excellence, you thrive in fast-paced environments and excel in relationship building.
Your skill set includes expertise in talent acquisition best practices, exceptional relationship management, and strong communication and consulting abilities. Knowledge of HR policies and strong commercial acumen are advantageous, as well as experience in project management and effective prioritisation.
