Your primary focus will be to craft, lead and drive our internal communications and engagement activities to cultivate a sense of belonging, purpose, and collective ambition across the UK. Strategically shaping internal communications and engagement to bring to life the PMI DNA and ensure we deliver on our commercial goals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy, annual plan and execution schedule aligned with our organisational purpose, ambition, and strategy.
- Identifying and targeting key internal audiences and channels for communication, as well as developing engaging content and seeking ways to continuously improve.
- Collaborating with our Brand & Creative teams to build and deliver compelling content for internal channels and office spaces.
- Establishing metrics and drawing insights to improve the impact of communication efforts. All the while ensuring alignment with the global themes of communication, Diversity and Inclusion and Employee Experience.
You will lead on all UK employee engagement activities such as proactive engagement survey management and affiliate action planning.
- Ensure that there is a clear understanding of timelines, content and expectations of each survey. This may include running companywide or team level information sessions. Taking us beyond annual engagement survey work (Pulse) and taking a view on all employee listening and survey activity across the UK.
- Working with multiple sources of data across the employee journey, both quantitative and qualitative, translating into validated insights for action plans.
- Leading and facilitating end to end action planning cycle, ensuring that top pain points are being fixed and progress is being measured.
- Leading projects with engagement/communication focus, to address local pain points and employee needs.
- Enabling leaders to drive a culture of employee listening and upskill them in working with engagement data and action planning.
- Leading organisational change initiatives for the UK- leveraging the global toolkits.
- Supporting business partners and line managers on organisational change tools and approaches.
You will manage a People Engagement Specialist focusing on DE&I, Engagement. Within your area of responsibility is ensuring that the following is delivered:
- Design and delivery of PML and Global Studios DE&I and Wellbeing plans.
- Supervising progress and performance against set annual goals.
- Running current “Beyond Gender” initiatives supporting our aspirational goals.
- Deployment of relevant DE&I trainings/upskilling sessions.
- Ensuring a clear and engaging DE&I communication plan for the market.
- +10 years’ experience in leading internal communications. Ideally 3-5 years leading internal communication strategy and execution.
- Significant experience in Employee Engagement and Employee Listening.
- A track record in developing and delivering internal communication strategies for a global workforce (including non-office-based/frontline employees), preferably at a corporate level in a large and matrixed global organisation.
- Experience in change communications is a must have. Adaptable to last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled at setting appropriate measurement frameworks and metrics and using data to make informed decisions.
- Extensive business partner experience, working with senior partners (up to the MD level) with an ability to influence and secure the confidence of others.
- Relationship building across all levels of the organisation and working collaboratively with many individuals and teams to gain their trust and support.
- Strong business and commercial awareness and cultural understanding and how to build an internal comms strategy to complement these.
- Critical thinking with excellent problem-solving skills to deal with complexity and ambiguity as well as having a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills and able to translate complicated information into clear, concise language.
- Innovative thinking and generating compelling ideas that will engage our people.
- An excellent understanding of internal communication channels, including digital (such as social media, Teams, Teams Live, Viva Engage, email and intranets) on-site communications, and the tools and techniques to engage non-office based/frontline employees.
