Compensation And Benefits
The salary range for this position is $60k - $75k. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, Sciton provides an opportunity to participate in equity/stock incentive programs, a profit-sharing bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K with matching.
Position Summary
As a key supporting member of the People team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and supporting various employee-related processes. This position ensures positive employee relations and organizational alignment.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with team members across different departments effectively. The position is located in Palo Alto, California, and offers a hybrid work arrangement. (Three days in the office/Two days WFH.)
In This Role, You Will
- Assist with key human resources tasks, focusing on documentation and communication related to employee compensation and status changes. This includes drafting memos for bonuses, salary increases, promotions, and offer letters, as well as handling employment verifications, garnishments, and EDD inquiries. You will also support the management of onboarding and offboarding documentation, serving as a backup when needed.
- Your responsibilities extend to assisting with leadership training sessions, company communications, fundraising, and charity event coordination. You'll play an essential role in new hire orientation, weekly corporate meetings, and bi-weekly company culture meetings. Additionally, you'll manage tasks such as employee engagement administration, business card administration, new hire regulatory training, and Glassdoor responses.
- You will be involved in administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, while performing customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. You'll also complete and verify Forms I-9, submit online investigation requests, and assist with new-employee background checks and terminations.
- Your role includes assisting with the preparation of the performance review process, filing documents into employee files, and preparing new-employee files. You will also update onboarding slides and written communication as needed and assist with on-site and remote job fairs when required.
- Finally, you will manage various administrative tasks, including processing mail and performing other related duties as assigned, ensuring smooth HR operations across the organization.
Essential Requirements
- Experience & Education: 2-3 years of HR coordination experience in a corporate environment with 300-500+ employees, and a bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration.
- Skills & Expertise: Strong understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Communication & Interpersonal Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Organizational & Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
