Job Description
The University of Indianapolis is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Employer Engagement for The Professional Edge Center. This role is focused on building and maintaining strategic partnerships with regional employers across diverse industries, including healthcare, liberal arts, sciences, education, social work, psychology, business, engineering, and sports management. The Director will play a pivotal role in securing internships, work-based learning, and full-time employment opportunities for UIndy students and recent graduates, while driving revenue through sponsorships and branding initiatives. Additionally, the Director will work collaboratively with academic schools to enhance experiential learning across all disciplines.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Employer Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture partnerships with local, regional, and national employers across target industries.
- Understand employers' hiring needs and talent cycles to ensure positive student outcomes.
- Conduct regular meetings with employers to assess needs, gather feedback, and strengthen relationships.
- Develop and distribute annual employer surveys focused on hiring forecasts, soft skill requirements, and training needs.
- Track employer interactions and partnerships using a CRM system.
Revenue Generation
- Create and implement sponsorship packages for The Professional Edge Center and branding opportunities across campus.
- Actively promote sponsorship packages to employers, ensuring alignment with their recruitment and marketing goals.
- Oversee the fulfillment of sponsorship commitments and track associated revenue.
Event Coordination
- Collaborate with Professional Edge Center Coaches to organize employer engagement events such as job fairs, industry panels, and networking sessions.
- Coordinate employer visits to campus, including on-site interviews, campus tours, and information sessions.
- Facilitate employer participation in university-wide events to enhance recruitment efforts.
Marketing And Promotion
- Partner with Marketing and Communications to create promotional materials that highlight employer engagement opportunities.
- Use communication channels such as social media, newsletters, and websites to share success stories and employer partnerships.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding through collaboration with the marketing team.
Other Responsibilities
- Lead various departmental projects, ensuring clear communication, timeline adherence, and completion of deliverables.
- Develop procedures to ensure the continuity of departmental operations.
- Collaborate with campus departments to foster partnerships and facilitate smooth transitions for students, alumni, and employers.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Higher Education, Marketing).
- Strong understanding of the recruitment landscape in healthcare, liberal arts, sciences, education, social work, psychology, business, engineering, and sports management.
- Proven success in revenue generation through sponsorship sales and strategic partnerships.
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including employers, faculty, students, and administrators.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including event planning and execution.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing tools, and data analytics is preferred.
