About The Role
As our People & Culture Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day HR operations while playing a key role in shaping our culture and supporting our people. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves rolling up their sleeves and being embedded in the team — from recruitment and onboarding to performance, engagement, and everything in between.

Requirements
What You'll Do
You'll lead the P&C function with a practical, people-first approach across:
Business Alignment
- Partner with business leaders to align HR processes with company goals
- Act as the go-between for People & Culture and the wider team
HR Systems & Reporting
- Manage HiBob, Workable, and 15Five platforms
- Ensure employee records are accurate and compliant
- Track key activities (e.g. reviews, check-ins) and report on people metrics
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Lead end-to-end hiring and maintain a healthy talent pipeline
- Create seamless onboarding experiences, working with IT and studio ops to ensure day-one magic
Offboarding & Transitions
- Coordinate respectful offboarding, exit surveys, and feedback loops
Performance, Learning & Engagement
- Administer review cycles in HiBob and support managers through the process
- Maintain the skills matrix and support training where needed
- Lead recognition programs and work with the Studio Manager to bring fun and energy to team culture
Compliance, Contracts & Policies
- Draft and manage employee and contractor agreements
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, immigration requirements, and the Screen Industry Workers Act (NZ)
- Keep our internal policies up to date and accessible
Payroll & Benefits
- Collaborate with Payroll (Finance) to ensure smooth processing of changes and entitlements across NZ and AU
You'll Be a Great Fit If You Have...
- 4+ years of experience in HR operations or as a generalist at Manager level
- Confidence working independently and balancing multiple HR processes
- Great communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and comfort navigating HR systems
- A genuine desire to support and partner with leaders to help them grow and build strong, engaged teams
- Experience with (or excitement to learn) HiBob, Workable, and 15Five
