Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Giffnock, is currently looking to recruit a Senior HR Officer for a 12 month contract on a salary between £45,184 – £49,400/annum. This would be a hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
- Work with managers to support organisational transformation including service reviews, redesigns and Trade Union engagement providing HR advice on a wide range of people and organisational design issues.
- Assist the HR Business Partner in providing professional advice and support to managers on change related matters enabling the development of an effective culture, people management and leadership capabilities across Departments.
- Working in conjunction with the HR Case Team, supporting cases, which are complex or high risk. Working with managers to identify and assess options, and supporting decision-making through appropriate and proactive HR solutions, whilst managing/minimising associated risks and aligning behaviours with our culture and values.
- To collate and interpret management information to ensure key people measures are achieved and information is presented in an accessible and user-friendly format.
- Ensure good document control within the organisation by maintaining records and ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- To ensure that all relevant legislative requirements are embedded in all activities and in advice provided to line managers and others.
- Contribute to the delivery of specific HR projects supporting the implementation of HR and organisation-wide strategic priorities.
- Maintain personal and professional knowledge through CPD, keeping up to date with developments in employment practice, law and HR strategy, policies and procedures.
- To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed appropriate by the HR Business Partner or HR Management.
Essential Skills:
- Advanced level HR qualification
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Chartered membership of CIPD
- Has a proven track record of experience in change management including service redesigns and reviews across multiple settings.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of undertaking a generalist HR role.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding and application of terms and conditions within a collective bargaining framework.
- Innovative approach to problem solving.
- A confident user of digital resources including MS365/Office.
- Ability to interpret and explain conditions of service and new legislation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent and effective written and oral communication skills.
- Maintains a calm and positive attitude under pressure.
