HR Director- Europe
Position Overview:
Packsize is an established and thriving company with operations throughout North America and Europe. We are excited about opening a new regional office in the Amsterdam area. As such, you will have the opportunity to build your HR team and partner with global and regional managers to ensure a culture of proactive and high-quality service. You will report directly to the Chief HR Officer with a strong, dotted line to the CEO, Packsize Europe.
As the HR Director for Europe, you will be responsible for developing and executing human resources strategies that align with our business objectives, culture, and values. You will lead a team of HR professionals across the region, ensuring the implementation of best practices in HR policy, talent management, performance management, and employee engagement. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a positive and productive work environment, while ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the business goals of Packsize in Europe. Work closely with other members of the European management team, including being a proactive thought partner, to support business initiatives and drive organizational success
· Employee Relations & Engagement: Foster a positive organizational culture through employee engagement initiatives, conflict resolution, and the promotion of open communication. Develop and implement programs to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
· Performance Management: Lead the performance management process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and promoting a culture of continuous feedback and development.
· Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across European operations. Mitigate risks by developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
· HR Operations & Processes: Streamline HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Scale the HR function to the needs of the business. Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive data-driven decision-making. Have a solid understanding of best-in-class compensation and rewards systems across the region.
· Learning & Development: Consult with global Learning and Development teams to develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career development opportunities.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or HR certification is preferred.
· Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior HR role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, preferably within a multinational organization.
· Experience in developing HR strategies, policies, and operations for remote or hybrid work settings across different European countries.
· Familiarity with European labor legislation and HR best practices throughout the region.
· Strong data-driven analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
