JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Internal Recruiter role is to enhance our talent acquisition efforts by managing the entire recruitment process effectively, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and promoting our employer brand. This role is crucial for attracting, selecting, and onboarding top talent that aligns with our organizational values and goals.
By leveraging recruitment system automation, the Internal Recruiter will streamline workflows, reduce time-to-hire, and improve hiring outcomes. Additionally, this role will involve training and upskilling hiring managers to adopt best practices in recruitment, fostering a collaborative hiring culture across the organization. The Internal Recruiter will also maintain strong relationships with external recruitment agencies, negotiating terms to ensure alignment with our strategic hiring needs.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- End-to-End Recruitment:
Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for internal hiring, including drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating seamless onboarding experiences.
- Strategic Workforce Planning:
Partner with department heads to anticipate staffing needs, plan recruitment campaigns, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Candidate Experience:
Establish strong communication touchpoints with candidates throughout the hiring process, fostering a positive, engaging, and professional experience. Regularly gather feedback to continuously enhance the process.
- Agency Management:
Maintain productive relationships with external recruitment agencies. Evaluate and negotiate contracts to meet hiring needs while ensuring cost-efficiency.
Employer Branding and Engagement:
- Employer Branding:
Champion the company’s employer brand across various platforms, crafting and promoting compelling content that showcases the company’s culture, values, and unique value proposition to attract top talent.
- Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives:
Design and implement strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates and promote equity and inclusion in recruitment practices.
HR Projects and Process Optimization:
- System Automation and Technology Integration:
Identify, recommend, and implement applicant tracking systems (ATS) or other HR tech solutions to automate recruitment workflows, reduce time-to-hire, and enhance data management.
- HR Process Improvement:
Evaluate existing HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, and talent management. Suggest and implement changes to improve efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Project Management:
Lead or contribute to HR-related projects, such as employer brand refresh, recruitment campaigns, or the introduction of new HR policies or initiatives.
Training and Development:
- Upskilling and Capacity Building:
Develop and deliver tailored training sessions for hiring managers, covering effective interviewing techniques, unconscious bias awareness, and candidate evaluation methodologies.
- Recruitment Playbooks:
Create and maintain comprehensive recruitment toolkits and best practice guides for use across teams.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Metrics & Reporting:
Monitor key recruitment and HR performance metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and offer acceptance rates. Use insights to refine strategies and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
- Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations during the recruitment process. Maintain accurate records and provide data for audits or compliance reviews when required.
Generalist HR Support:
- Employee Lifecycle Support:
Support HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, exit interviews, and offboarding, ensuring a cohesive and positive experience for employees at all stages.
- Policy Development:
Assist in the development, documentation, and communication of HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance and support employee understanding.
- Internal Communication:
Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to ensure transparent communication of HR initiatives and updates to the wider organization.
- Support with generic HR projects as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in an internal or in-house role
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and dynamic presentation style
- Experience using external hiring platforms
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse teams and external partners
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software (Dayforce preferred)
- Familiarity with employer branding strategies and social media recruitment
- Strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
