Get to Know the Role
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end recruitment process while driving innovative strategies to attract and retain top talent. In addition to traditional talent acquisition responsibilities, this role includes an extended focus on employer branding, strategic event planning, developing global talent acquisition-related policies, and embedding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) into recruitment practices. The role will collaborate closely with internal teams, universities, and external organizations to design and execute impactful talent attraction initiatives, including career fairs, tradeshows, and global competitions.
Essential Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Design and implement a global framework for full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Design and develop global talent acquisition-related policies, including standardized recruitment practices and guidelines for inclusive hiring.
- Embed DEI principles into recruitment practices, ensuring equitable hiring processes and promoting workplace fairness.
- Design, track and analyze recruitment metrics and make recommendations for improvement.
- Align and help coach country recruiters, ensuring they are meeting hiring targets and adhering to best practices across full recruitment lifecycles.
- Subject matter expert on market talent intelligence to inform and create agile workforce plan.
- Plan and consult Country HR Head in their recruitment strategies and execution to build and elevate HOYA employer branding to communicate HOYA values and culture for hiring of diverse, best talent.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and local governing agencies.
- Strong work ethic and hands-on approach to execution of roles and duties.
- Driving results for HOYA by inspiring team, role-modelling values, developing others and ensuring a productive work environment.
Event Strategy & Planning
- Lead the design and planning of employer branding events, such as the Global Engineering Competition and SEMICON-related tradeshows, focusing on Workforce Development (WFD) activities.
- Shape event themes, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with the Employer Branding team and key stakeholders.
- Research and identify strategic university partners and student communities across Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, the US, and Taiwan.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to HR executives responsible for event coordination and execution.
SEMICON and Workforce Development (WFD) Support
- Work closely with universities, student organizations, and tradeshow organizers to ensure smooth participation and engagement.
- Serve as the point of contact for participants, sponsors, and collaborators, ensuring seamless communication.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Talent Acquisition and Engineering, to align event objectives with recruitment and branding goals.
Brand Consistency
- Ensure all employer branding activities, including career fairs, roadshows, tradeshows, and events, consistently reflect the company’s brand identity and values.
- Ensure cohesive messaging and visuals across all channels.
Marketing & Promotion
- Coordinate outreach efforts through targeted university channels and student forums.
- Support the development of recruitment marketing toolkits for employer branding events, including FAQs, guidelines, and schedules.
Post-Event Reporting
- Collect feedback and data on event success, including participation numbers, engagement metrics, and ROI.
- Create post-event reports and presentations to showcase outcomes and suggest improvements for future events.
Skills and Competencies Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in talent acquisition or a related field, with a proven track record of managing recruitment campaigns.
- Experience in event planning, employer branding, or marketing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with university networks and experience working with SEMICON-related tradeshows or Workforce Development (WFD) activities is a plus.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Creativity and strategic thinking for designing impactful talent attraction initiatives.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms for event promotion.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing recruitment metrics and event success.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
