Job Overview:
This role will be responsible for the strategic development of global campaigns, executive leadership narrative, messaging and amplification, internal and external campaign development and execution, thought leadership, crisis communications and issues management. A critical responsibility of this role includes partnering closely with Global Strategic Communications and Technology leadership, as well as cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to provide strategic communications guidance and support to drive business goal and objectives, including global events, internal and external relationship building and stakeholder management, speaking engagements, and interviews, extensive writing including communications plans, key messaging, talking points, scripts, speeches, press releases and announcements, and related campaign materials.
Responsibilities
• Develop and Execute Communications Strategies
• Messaging and Positioning: Create clear and consistent messaging to support the client brand, reputation, and key initiatives and assist in crafting compelling corporate narrative that resonates with internal and external audiences.
• Leadership and Corporate Materials: Develop communications plan, releases, media kits, talking points, Q&A, briefing books, bios, coverage reports, and other communications-related materials.
• Reputation and Media Monitoring: Actively monitor competitive digital and media landscapes to identify press, editorial, and thought leadership opportunities for executives and subject-matter experts.
• Research and Analytics: Conduct competitive landscape research, trending topics, coverage and sentiment analysis using data to inform strategy pivots and editorial direction.
• Reporting: Build and maintain real-time trackers and reporting of global strategic communications initiatives, progress, and results for socialization.
• Media and Analyst Relations: Build and maintain media and industry analysts lists and track relationship engagement, coverage and sentiment.
• Employee Engagement: Support the design and development of internal campaigns to align employees with client’s vision, mission and values.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work collaboratively with communicators across the client’s portfolio on projects and events.
Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience in internal/employee communications within a global organization
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field required
• Extensive experience in global corporate internal, external, and digital strategic communications with a proven track-record in a fast-paced, dynamic, global organization. B2B and automotive industry experience required.
• Proven track record of working closely with senior executives, media, industry analysts, and extensive experience leading both proactive and reactive strategic communications for internal and external global audiences
