They are seeking an HR Manager to lead HR operations and strategic initiatives, focusing on labor relations. The HR Manager will act as the primary HR business partner for manufacturing operations, with a significant emphasis on managing labor relations and collective bargaining processes. Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business goals, with a focus on effective labor relations and union management.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on labor relations, handling collective bargaining agreements, negotiations, and union relationships with professionalism and expertise.
- Lead and develop the HR team, fostering collaboration and a high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance to management and employees on employee relations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation, ensuring alignment with labor agreements.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring compliance.
- Oversee initiatives to build and maintain a high-performing workforce.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to promote organizational values and ensure legal compliance.
- Collaborate with management to implement training programs and drive employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in labor relations, including collective bargaining, negotiations, conflict resolution, and fostering productive union relationships.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement HR strategies that drive organizational success.
- Experience in change management and organizational development.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
