About the Company - Piaggio Group Americas, Inc. is seeking an HR and General Affairs Manager to oversee Human Resources and Legal activities.
About the Role - The HR and General Affairs Manager will be responsible for managing HR activities for US employees, directing payroll and benefits, aligning HR strategy with business goals, and overseeing legal activities including licensing and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all HR activities for US based employees
- Manage and direct payroll, benefits, employee relations
- Ensure payroll compliance with laws, policies, and best practices, including audits and exception processing
- Coordinate with external payroll provider and 401k administrator
- Create and align the HR strategy with the company’s business goals
- Provide monthly reporting to the global HR Team
- Lead in organizational planning
- Coordinate the performance management process
- Responsible for creating the travel and labor cost budgets
- Audit and approve company expenses and travel
- Manage the immigration processes for international employees
- Responsible for all legal activities of the company including licensing and risk mitigation
- Manage the licensing of the business across all states in the US and Canadian provinces
- Coordinate operations with government agencies (NHTSA, DOT, State Business Licensing)
- Coordinate activities with external counsel on all matters (company contracts, lawsuits, employment law, intellectual property issues and disputes with the dealership network)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience acceptable
- Proficient knowledge of the US Labor and Employment laws
- Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and work within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel experience is mandatory, SAP experience preferred
- Time management skills. Exceptional attention to detail
- Cross-group collaboration, negotiation
- Able to deal with ambiguity, achieve results in a fast-paced, distributed team environment and adapt to changing business needs
- US work authorization required
- Experience in a multinational work environment preferred
- Italian language proficiency is preferred, but not required
Pay range and compensation package - From $90,000 to 120,000 based on experience, 401k, Medical Benefits
