Role Summary
The role holder will be responsible for leading European Sourcing activities working with the European Professional Services team, whilst collaborating globally as part of the Sourcing community to share insights, leverage economy of scale and act as one team .
The role includes Strategy and Planning, Governance, Strategic Sourcing and continouss improvements, Supplier Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Business Partnership, ensuring full accountability for stakeholders’ experience and contribution to continually developing the Europe Sourcing team positive brand.

Professional Services Category Portfolio
Responsible for supporting the business procuring the following services:
- Management Consulting
- Audit, Tax and Risk Consulting
- Regulatory and Corporate Finance Consulting
- Legal Services
- HR & Staff Augmentation
Sourcing accountability for the above Services includes:
- Contribution to Global Strategies and initiatives.
- Defining, delivering and owning regional category strategy
- Leading and executing RFI, RFPS and RFQs
- Contract Management and Negotiation
- Risk compliance to regulations and policies
- Financial acumen and awareness
- Stakeholder alignment
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- ESG initiatives across the category portfolio
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic thinking and Strategic Planning: To develop and lead as well as oversee the implementation of the procurement strategy(s) that aligns with the business objective(s).
- Stakeholder collaboration: Own a broad range of senior relationships, understanding relevant business strategies, plans and priorities to enable the business growth agenda.
- Supplier Management: Manage complex relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and in life management.
- Responsible Sourcing: Be ambassador of the overall ESG in the supply supplier, including Sustainability and Supplier Diversity agenda making the better world!
- Financial Analysis: Maintain knowledge of budgets, perform e2e cost analysis and scenario modelling, including supporting financial forecasting and client flow through considerations.
- Risk Management: To identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
- Change Management, innovation & Project Management: Advocate of change, driving change initiatives and managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines.
- Leadership: Strong team leadership, emotional awareness and management skills to inspire and instruct the wider procurement team, both local, inter-regional and Global Sourcing and Corporate Services team. To lead from the front, whilst ensuring the back-end process efficiencies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and team members.
- Regulatory Compliance: To be knowledgeable with laws and regulations that govern relevant procurement activities in various European countries.
- Innovation: To innovate and adapt to changing market trends and business needs. Deliver financial and other values to the business through introduction of leading practices.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills, in complex environments that ensure the best deals and terms for the organization.
- Decision Making: Ability to make informed decisions that can have a significant impact on the company's supply chain and financial performance.
- Uplift the Sourcing community: Contribute to the overall success of the Visa Europe Sourcing team. Demonstrate leadership, to uplift, enhance and positively evolve the Procurement function.

Qualifications
Qualifications and experience required
- Experience as a Head of / Category leader in multi-national organisations.
- Diverse range of category experience.
- Advanced level of experience in managing complex suppliers and operating with a range of business models.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Project Leadership skills of large and complex Procurement projects.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Energy, pace, and an impeccable track record of delivery.
- Educated to degree level with postgraduate procurement accreditation preferred (MCIPS).
Advantageous
- Digital Literacy, practical experience of digital tools, generative AI, automation etc.
- Experienced in SAP Ariba, procurement modules.
- Working in a multi-cultural and matrix environment
