Responsibilities
The HR Business Partner will work closely with business leaders in the following areas: (a) talent acquisition; (b) colleague engagement and development, (c) policy compliance; (d) investigations and workplace concerns; (e) strategic workforce planning and succession planning and serve as a stragegic thought partner to business leaders. The principal outcomes of this role are to grow the organization by identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining talent. The role works collaboratively with HRDs and additional HR and business colleagues
Talent and Performance Management: Assist with the tracking, succession planning and measurement of key field talent management and retention initiatives. Consult with leaders on all performance assessment, performance improvement, and general training and development initiatives. This includes facilitating individual and group workshops to train and retain high-potential leadership. Manage and support the talent pipeline through workforce and career planning.
Diversity and Inclusion: Consult with leaders to identify and recruit local, diverse talent. Promote the business value of diversity and inclusion at all levels of responsibility. Provide individual and group training to develop and enhance respectful working environments at all business locations.
Talent Acquisition: Initiates the talent acquisition and onboarding process of new candidates as needed. Posting positions, interviewing and preparing multiple referrals for each open job. Works closely with the business leaders and property HR team to ensure the handoff of qualified pre-screened candidates is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Guides managers through the established process of requesting additional staff when appropriate. Conducts deeper recruiting efforts to identify passive candidates for positions with limited candidate activity.
Employee Relations: Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of engagement and development issues; resolve complex or challenging employee relations issues with a systematic approach, taking into consideration a larger network of complex factors. Supports field management in resolving varied and potentially complex employee relations matters. Conduct timely, accurate investigations as needed. Audit the execution of company human resource management policies and directives, and compliance with federal, state and local employment and wage and hour statutes. Provide related legal, safety and compliance training as needed. Collaborate with our company legal representatives and the Chief Human Resources Officer to respond to all agency (EEOC, DOL, DFEH, etc.) and attorney inquiries as directed.

This role is an on-site position in Tucson, AZ but candidates should be open to relocating to Austin, Texas in the future.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the position include:
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources as an HRBP or Specialist
- Actively engaged in recruiting and performance management of employees and familiarity with applicant tracking software and metrics
- Must have bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working closely with cross functional teams and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
