We are a family run nursery that has been providing childcare for local families since 2019. We have a sister nursery in Toxteth which has been established since 2011.

The nursery is a 50 place nursery right in the heart of Woolton Village.

We have a well established long standing team and an opportunity has arisen for someone to take over the Leadership role.

Based in Woolton Village, we have an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Manager to join our 50 place nursery. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years management experience and have a real passion for early years. The Nursery Manager has the overall responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of safeguarding, health and safety practices and child protection in the setting, and maintaining accurate and up to date systems and records at all times.

Requirements of the Nursery Manager –

· To have worked as an Early Years Manager in a setting with proven leadership skills including positive outcomes through OFSTED Inspections

· Experience of leading and motivating teams

· Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

· Paediatric First Aid

.Designated Safeguarding Training

· Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills which meet and exceeds the expectations of the parents and the company.

· Strong staff management skills

· Understanding of quality development

· Strong communication skills

· The ability to use computerised systems is essential

Key Responsibilities of Nursery Manager will include:

· Lead responsibility for day-to-day nursery operations

· Showing around prospective parents will be a vital aspect of your role

· Being passionate and enthusiastic about the setting.

· Effectively managing budgets.

· Ensuring Ofsted Statutory requirements are met.

· Ensuring staff comply with policy and procedures

· Partnership working with parents, building positive relationships, arranging events, drop in sessions

· Managing Occupancy

· Back office, material ordering

· Ensuring EYFS curriculum is effectively embedded in practice

· Preparing for Ofsted inspections

· Managing recruitment, supervisions and appraisals

· Ensuring Safeguarding procedures are followed

· Ensuring that all staff develop positive professional relationships with parents/carers and that children are provided with an environment that respects diversity

· Ensuring that child/staff ratios are always adhered to.

· Responsible for managing all aspects of Safer Recruitment, Health and Safety and Human Resources.

· Dealing with complex staff issues as they arise.
