Our telecommunications client located in Columbus, Ohio is seeking for a Director of Human Resources (HR) who will lead all HR functions, ensuring compliance with federal contracting requirements while driving a high-performance and employee-focused culture. This role will develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives, manage talent acquisition and development, and oversee compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.

Location: This position is remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including OFCCP, EEO, FLSA, and FAR regulations.
Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies to support company growth and government contract requirements.
Oversee compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems to ensure competitive and compliant offerings.
Manage employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
Direct performance management and professional development initiatives to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, culture, and change management.
Ensure compliance with security clearance processes and personnel vetting as required for government contracts.
Partner with finance and operations teams to align HR strategies with business goals.
Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 8 years in a government contracting environment.
Strong knowledge of federal contracting regulations (e.g., OFCCP, FAR, DFARS, EEO compliance).
Experience in managing security clearances and working with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) preferred.
Proven ability to lead HR teams and influence senior leadership.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and data-driven HR decision-making.
