The Position
Our entertainment client is seeking a strategic marketer to lead the development and execution of our brand marketing campaigns and partnerships. The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing Planning will work closely with the Director of Brand Marketing Planning to set and execute the vision for brand marketing efforts, providing strategic direction, management, and delivery of best-in-class results. Critical to the success of this role is a sharp strategic mind with unwavering cross-functional campaign leadership, ensuring all functions are actively collaborating around a unified vision. In addition, the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing will have diligent ownership of the media budget and execution for assigned campaigns. This role will be responsible for key stakeholder management and an ability to present to and influence management as well as work closely with internal and external partners, effectively
leading a functional team to achieve the goals and established KPIs.
The Person
You are a whip-smart strategist, creative thinker, and business leader who can lead cross-
functional teams to cut through a crowded marketplace with effective campaigns and
partnerships. You like to take big swings on ideas that are grounded in sharp cultural,
competitive, consumer, and brand insights, unlocking opportunity to drive both short-term and
long-term KPIs for the business. You operate with a challenger mentality, proactively problem-
solving, and nimbly adapting to changing market conditions and business needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Shape strategies for Brand campaigns and partnerships that leverage sharp insights to breakthrough in culture, with target consumers.
- Develop a comprehensive communications strategy, determining audience, messages, and targets based on previous evaluation/learnings as well as future insight and business/market context.
- Propose Brand partners that generate awareness and build brand equity, and then launch one-of-a-kind initiatives that deliver on mutual goals with the partner.
- Serve as the full-funnel steward for marketing communications/campaigns, influencing cross-functional teams (from Marketing Strategy to Creative to Operations to Media) to come up with ideas that are bigger than the sum of their parts to foster a shared sense of ownership and success.
- Maximize paid, owned, and earned media to generate awareness, maximize campaign effectiveness, and drive measurable KPIs.
- Proactively lead re-evaluation of plans throughout the year, making recommendations on revisions or potential challenges and identifying key opportunities to help drive the Brand’s success.
The Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of content and/or consumer marketing experience – Ideally with a combination of Agency and ‘in-house’ Brand Strategy, Marketing, and/or Partnerships experience.
- Confident leader, able to independently manage high-profile workstreams and influence complex campaigns with minimal managerial support.
- Demonstrated expert track record of success in managing Brand marketing campaigns, from strategic positioning to creative campaign to results analysis.
- Big-picture strategic thinker with the ability to analyze/interpret data and translate research into actionable insights, for a range of audiences.
- Ability to sell ideas up, down, and across an organization, leveraging expert storytelling abilities (written, verbal, and visual).
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to proactively build relationships with other teams and rally people toward a common goal.
- An ambidextrous thinker who is both analytical and highly creative, with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguity.
- Fantastic project management talents to stay organized and execute numerous projects simultaneously.
- Works quickly, nimbly, humbly – a team player who is excited by moving fast
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, MBA or Master’s Degree a plus.
