We're looking for a People Operations Manager to lead and scale our HR and recruiting functions across the U.S, Canada, and India. This is a unique, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoys balancing hands-on execution with strategic planning.
You'll be responsible for driving operational excellence across HR processes, managing our international contractor workforce, and leading full-cycle recruitment across multiple teams. You'll serve as a trusted partner to the leadership team and help shape Presto’s people strategy as we continue to grow.
Responsibilities:
People Operations
- Lead day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, policy management, and employee support.
- Manage payroll coordination and reconciliation across multiple regions (U.S., Canada, India).
- Oversee PTO tracking, sick leave compliance, and benefits administration.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation using tools like TriNet and TeamNest.
- Support employee relations, performance processes, and policy implementation in partnership with leadership.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions.
Talent Acquisition
- Own full-cycle recruitment across technical and non-technical roles.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to scope roles, build hiring plans, and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
- Onboard a new ATS and manage administration, pipeline reporting, and process optimization.
- Develop sourcing strategies and employer branding initiatives as needed.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Coordinate biweekly invoicing and tracking for 200+ contractors, primarily in the Philippines.
- Serve as liaison between contractors and Finance for issue resolution and timely payments.
Process Improvement & Strategic Projects
- Continuously improve workflows, templates, and documentation across People Ops and Talent.
- Collaborate with external consultants and vendors (e.g., performance review systems).
- Identify and implement tools to improve team efficiency and employee experience.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or Recruiting roles, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Solid understanding of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices; experience working across Canada and India.
- Proficiency with HRIS and ATS tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and empathy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings.
- Comfortable balancing day-to-day execution with long-term planning and strategy.
The U.S. base salary range for this position is approximately $125,000 - $135,000 annually + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all U.S. locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Presto, it is not typical for the individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role; compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
